Private Wifi Incorporates Customer Testimonials Into Its Website

PRIVATE WiFi has rebuilt its Company Profile section, giving customers the opportunity to share their experiences of using the software by offering their own testimonials.

Sherman, CT, August 31, 2011 –(PR.com)– PRIVATE WiFi™, a fresh and innovative company in the security software market, has just finished a complete make-over of its website. After launching private-i, a knowledge center with information about information on security issues, blogs from security experts, and real-life stories about identity theft, the company is now adding new features to its Company Profile section.

The Compile Profile section now contains four subsections:

Company Profile
Press Releases
In the News
Testimonials

The Company Profile subsection contains an overview of PRIVATE WiFi and provides background information regarding CEO Kent Lawson. The Press Releases subsection keeps visitors up to date with company news and software development. The In the News subsection includes news stories about PRIVATE WiFi.

The Testimonials subsection is entirely new. Visitors can access it to read stories from companies or individuals who have used PRIVATE WiFi. If they are already customers, they are of course encouraged to share their own story about their experience with using the software. The Testimonials subsection is part of a broader initiative to increase the level of interaction with and feedback from customers and website visitors.

About Public WiFi Security Risks

Public wifi usage has been increasing exponentially in the recent years due to its convenience and accessibility. It has become so easy to get on the Internet from just about anywhere: coffee shops, airports, public libraries, and hotel rooms, among many other places. However, many people are not aware the security risks inherent in using a public wifi network.

Wifi networks do not use physical cables to connect computers to one another. Instead, they use radio waves. This means that when you connect to a public network, you are basically exposing your laptop files, including personal data such as credit card info, passwords, and social security number, to anyone within that network. This type of cybercrime has led to a different type of hacking called “sniffing.” Sniffers are computer tools that don’t require physical access to your computer. With the right software, easily available on the Internet, hackers can use sniffers to steal any unencrypted data on a public wifi network. It may even be the guy sipping his coffee at the table right next to you.
